Thankfully the group name isn't really because small classification of long-term names, and it's not completely apparent how to alter it, however it can be done.

To begin, go to your group page on Facebook but do not click on "Edit Settings" since it ain't exactly what you want. Instead look down the best side of the page. About a 3rd of the way down you'll see these options:.
Click on "Edit Group" and you'll see a heap of different alternatives that you can customize, most importantly the group name:.
Let's focus a bit on that so you can see what it looks like:.
To alter your Facebook group name, merely click in the text box that has the present name and use DELETE, arrows and similar to change the name to one that's better suited. For this presentation, I changed the group name from "Front Range Blog Writer Meetup: The Facebook Group" to simply "Front Variety Blog Writer Meetup".
When you have actually set it effectively, click on "Conserve" at the bottom of the window and.
Done. Not too hard once you understand where to click.
Confusingly, however, the page that includes the notification of the modification being accepted still has the old name displayed:.
No concerns. That's just a caching issue: click "Back to Group" and we see the :.
Now we're done and it's validated.
I need to point out that everyone in the group will see an update notification that the name has actually been changed, however I cannot imagine that's an issue:.
