Secret Facebook Groups
Secret Facebook Groups
Anybody with a Facebook account has the ability to set up and use a Trick Group. This is not unique or offered through Organisation Pages, but is a fantastic resource particularly for small companies that do not use tools like Salesforce, Yammer, or BaseCamp for callaboration, collaborating schedules, and sharing marketing concepts.
There are three types of Secret Groups:
- Public: anyone can see your Group and find it in search
- Closed: anyone can see your group, however just members can see and make posts
- Secret: just members can see and make posts
Trick Group Security.
- Secret Groups are not indexed by Google.
- If somebody has the URL to your Secret Group they can not get without being welcomed.
- If your Trick Group URL is published in another Trick Group, the URL is still not noticeable or available.
Note: You will get notifications to your individual News Feed, however just you will have the ability to see them, not your Buddies.
Developing a Trick Group.
You should initially have an individual Facebook account to produce a Secret Group:.
- Go to http://facebook.com/groups.
- Click on Create Group.
- Call your Group and select your icon from the drop down menu.
- Include members to your Secret Group (you need to be pals with them to add to the group); add them to the member box.
- If you want to include members who are not your pals, develop the Group as 'Closed' first, then change the Group setting to Secret.
- Select your Privacy Setting and click Develop.
Below are screen shots for each action in developing your Group.
Remember your Group MUST be Closed if you are going to add members you are not friends with.
Select your Trick Group icon (this is optional).
Remember to switch your Group Setting from 'Closed" to "Secret" if you have welcomed members that you are not pals with in the previous step.
Prior to you begin using your brand-new Trick Group we would suggest that you inspect your Settings. The Settings icon lies on the right side of your new feed under the images.
Your Trick Group is now all set for private use with your members. Start sharing pictures, email addresses, and working together on jobs.
