Search Facebook Friends by City
1) Mutual pals and
2) Searching friends by current city.
The very first one was excellent-- whenever you satisfy a new person, you can head over to Facebook and find out which buddies you already share. It made life so interesting.
The second one was a should for taking a trip. If I was heading from Madison to Milwaukee or Chicago for the weekend, the very first thing I would do was head over to Facebook and see which of my pals were living in my location city.
Then Facebook eliminated the choice. Then they added another method to do it through the My Buddies tab. Then they took that one away. Then you could do it by browsing for the city and choosing "friends." Then that a person went. [sigh]
I offered up. Facebook clearly didn't want me to know which of my good friends remained in Madison and which were in Green Bay. So I went back to mass texts and word-of-mouth, not understanding why this had to be so hard.
However good news: there's a brand-new way to look for good friends by city on Facebook and it is incredibly easy!
When you login to Facebook, at the very top of the page, you will see a search bar.

It's where you browse for pals, pages you like, cities, apps and anything else you wish to find within Facebook.
The thing many individuals don't recognize though is that this search bar works more like a genuine search tool than they understand. If you key in a person, a city or a page, it will show you that individual, that city or that page. But you in fact can make your searches substantially more detailed.
If you type in "my good friends in Madison" [insert the name of any city], it will simply offer you a list of your friends in Madison, WI.
If you enter "ice cream places in Madison" it will note all the ice cream stores in Madison.
And so on.
It deserves noting that once you have actually entered in your search, Facebook will show you results based upon what they consider to be "top" discovers for you. So that may mean they will only reveal you ice cream shops in Madison whose page you like on Facebook. Or they might show you posts from your pals who have actually written about ice cream shops in Madison. (Remember this will not change existing personal privacy filters. You still will not see any material from individuals who have not made their material offered to you.).
But take a look at the tool bar at top and you will observe that you have numerous alternatives for the best ways to search.
Poke around in there and see what else you discover. If you just want a list of pages for ice cream shops in Madison, click "Pages." If you wish to see the most current posts, click on "Most current." "People" probably will not get you far for this search, however when you are searching for which of your buddies reside in a specific city, this will be the tab for you.
