Open the Facebook Messenger app on your phone and find the Settings icon in the bottom best corner. If you do not see Settings, click Me rather.

If you want to get rid of these filtered messages you can do so by tapping Edit then hitting Erase in the bottom-right.
Now, most of the messages concealed away there may be scrap or messages from individuals you have never become aware of. But there is a possibility that a message or two might really turn out to be relevant and essential to you. So, make certain to check these hidden messages from time to time, just to make sure you aren't missing out on anything too important.
