Facebook Find Friends by City

Facebook Find Friends By City - I like Facebook. I use it for all examples. But for a very long time, my 2 preferred components of Facebook were:

1) Shared buddies and
2) Searching good friends by present city.

The very first one was fantastic-- at any time you meet a new individual, you can head over to Facebook and find out which good friends you currently have in common. It made life so intriguing.

The second one was a should for taking a trip. If I was heading from Madison to Milwaukee or Chicago for the weekend, the very first thing I would do was head over to Facebook and see which of my buddies were living in my location city.

Then Facebook got rid of the option. Then they added another way to do it through the My Pals tab. Then they took that one away. Then you might do it by browsing for the city and choosing "good friends." Then that one went. [sigh]
I quit. Facebook plainly didn't desire me to understand which of my good friends were in Madison and which were in Green Bay. So I went back to mass texts and word-of-mouth, not understanding why this had to be so challenging.

But great news: there's a new method to search for friends by city on Facebook and it is incredibly easy!

When you login to Facebook, at the really leading of the page, you will see a search bar.

Facebook Find Friends By City

It's where you browse for pals, pages you like, cities, apps and anything else you desire to find within Facebook.

The thing many people don't understand though is that this search bar functions more like a real search tool than they understand. If you enter a person, a city or a page, it will show you that individual, that city or that page. However you in fact can make your searches substantially more comprehensive.

If you enter "my pals in Madison" [place the name of any city], it will just provide you a list of your pals in Madison, WI.

If you enter "ice cream locations in Madison" it will note all of the ice cream shops in Madison.

And so on.

It's worth keeping in mind that when you have actually gone into in your search, Facebook will show you results based upon exactly what they think about to be "top" discovers for you. So that might imply they will just show you ice cream shops in Madison whose page you like on Facebook. Or they may show you posts from your friends who have discussed ice cream stores in Madison. (Bear in mind this will not alter existing privacy filters. You still won't see any material from people who haven't made their content available to you.).

But take a look at the tool bar at leading and you will see that you have various alternatives for how to browse.

Poke around in there and see exactly what else you discover. If you simply want a list of pages for ice cream stores in Madison, click "Pages." If you wish to see the most current posts, click on "Newest." "Individuals" most likely won't get you far for this search, but when you are trying to find which of your pals live in a particular city, this will be the tab for you.
