There are three kinds of Secret Groups:

  • Public: anyone can see your Group and discover it in search

  • If somebody has the URL to your Secret Group they can not access without being invited.

  • If your Trick Group URL is posted in another Secret Group, the URL is still not noticeable or available.


Keep in mind: You will get notices to your individual News Feed, but only you will have the ability to see them, not your Good friends.

Producing a Trick Group.

You must first have an individual Facebook account to produce a Secret Group:.

  • Go to http://facebook.com/groups.

  • Click on Create Group.

  • Call your Group and pick your icon from the fall menu.

  • Include members to your Trick Group (you need to be pals with them to contribute to the group); add them to the member box.

  • If you want to include members who are not your good friends, create the Group as 'Closed' initially, then change the Group setting to Secret.

  • Select your Privacy Setting and click Develop.

Remember your Group MUST be Closed if you are going to include members you are not friends with.

Select your Secret Group icon (this is optional).

Keep in mind to change your Group Setting from 'Closed" to "Secret" if you have actually welcomed members that you are not good friends with in the previous action.

Prior to you start using your new Trick Group we would suggest that you examine your Settings. The Settings icon lies on the right side of your brand-new feed under the photos.

Your Trick Group is now all set for private usage with your members. Start sharing photos, e-mail addresses, and collaborating on projects.
