Temporarily Deactivate Facebook

Deactivating a Facebook profile does not delete a fan page; however, your administrator rights will be suspended while your account is inactive. If you desire to deactivate your account but maintain administrator privileges for your musician page, you'll have to produce a Facebook service account and link it to the artist page prior to deactivation, Temporarily Deactivate Facebook.

Step 1.

Go to Facebook.com. Log out of your account if you are currently logged in. Click "Develop a Page" at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2.

Select any type of page to create. The page info does not matter-- you're only developing it at first to develop a Facebook company account. You can erase the page later on.

Action 3.

Select "I Do Not Have a Facebook Account." Go into the details to produce your company account, then click "Sign Up Now." Inspect the email address you utilized to produce the account and click the confirmation link.

Step 4.

Log out of your company account, then check in with your individual account. Click "Account," then "Use as Page." Select the artist page. Click "See All" next to "Admins.".

Step 5.

Click "Include New Admin." Type the e-mail address you used to develop your service account, then click "Include." Your service account is now connected to the artist page.

Step 6.

Click on "Account," then "Account Settings." Click "Deactivate" to deactivate your individual Facebook profile.

Action 7.

Check in with your company account profile. Click the default page you created, then click "Edit Page." Click on "Permanently Erase Page" to erase the default page. You'll now be able to handle your musician page with your service account.
